From Glasgow, Scotland - alt-rock, nu-metal & punk, built for the main stage
01 / Biography
Dead Pony are an electrifying rock band from Glasgow, Scotland - fronted by the powerhouse vocals of Anna Shields, fusing alt-rock, punk and nu-metal into a sound that's both raw and infectious.
Bursting onto the scene in 2020, Dead Pony quickly gained attention for their ferocious riffs, punchy rhythms and anthemic choruses. Singles like "Sharp Tongues" and "23, Never Me" cemented their place as one of the most exciting new bands in UK rock. Their debut EP, War Boys (2022), showcased their ability to blend driving guitar hooks with gritty, attitude-packed vocals - drawing comparisons to Paramore, The Prodigy and N.E.R.D.
In 2024, Dead Pony took things to the next level with their debut album Ignore This - a hard-hitting collection packed with energy, attitude and undeniable hooks. Its success fuelled a completely sold-out headline tour, including their biggest Scottish headline show to date at the 1,000-capacity Queen Margaret Union in Glasgow.
Renowned for their explosive live shows, Dead Pony have played Reading & Leeds, Glastonbury, TRNSMT and Download, and toured as main support to Twin Atlantic, You Me At Six and Kids In Glass Houses.
In 2026 they released their EP Eat My Dust! via ADA and followed it with a completely sold-out UK headline tour, plus main-stage slots at Slam Dunk Festival and All Points East supporting Twenty One Pilots. Still to come: a hometown show with Skindred at Glasgow's iconic Barrowland on 14 November - carving out their place as one of the UK's most thrilling rising rock bands.
